At 124 ml north of Trujillo is Chiclayo, a region inhabited in ancient times by the Lambayeque, Mochicas and Chimus. Near is the Bruning Museum, displaying pieces from the greatest, most recent Peruvian archeological discoveries, notably the Royal Tomb of the Señor de Sipan.
